Q: Hello friends. I have heard of a few encroachment attempts in this area. Anybody has any news and suggestions? I might be moving to Shaikpet and I need as much info as I can get. Thanks!
Yes I agree. Stealing land is one thing but stealing land that was donated to a temple that too for burying people is wrong on so many levels. The builders assumed that they could get away with it because of their connections but obviously, because of the display of unity by the residents and other locals, justice was served. The 5 acre land that was donated was only shown as a 1318 square yards in the town survey land records. The collector, Syed Ali Murtaza Rizvi also spoke to these officials so that the record displays and registers things correctly.
I remember it was in the middle of 2013 that this was attempted. In fact, the complaint was sent to the Tehasildar and the collector in 2012 but nobody had responded. When things were going out of control, the pressure on them increased and the collector Syed Ali Murtaza Rizvi spoke to the Shaikpet Tahaseeldar and said he would personally look into it and get it sorted as soon as he can. He also said he would talk to the GHMC commissioner to look deeper into the matter. I was deeply saddened by this and it is extremely unethical to do something like this.
Hi! I have also heard about land encroachment in Shaikpet. That was a five acre land that was being encroached to build an apartment. That land was donated by a foundation for a graveyard but when the news of an apartment complex eating into the land broke out, a lot of locals complained and submitted a petition to get it freed from their clutches. The complaint was made to Syed Ali Murtaza Rizvi the collector of Hyderabad. The locals had already made complaints to the police and the police had apparently threatened these builders but they did not respond thinking nothing will happen.
