Q: Heard about some interesting new measures for the upcoming monsoons being taken in Khairatabad. What’s the situation, guys? I will be shifting to the Ameerpet region, my interest is mostly in Khairatabad, so wanted to know about the status there.
Yeah he is right. Would you believe that so far only 6 out of 22 patching works have been done? I mean, this is the height of inefficiency. Just because the monsoons are late this year, shouldn’t mean that they are going to delay their work like this. Because suddenly rain sets in, and then all these uncomplete works cause more problems to the residents of these areas. The Ameerpet division of Khairatabad was allotted Rs 1 crore to patch up the BT road. There were a total of 9 patching works required in Ameerpet alone. Out of these, only 5 have been completed so far.
Yes I know the GHMC were supposed to take care of a lot of issues in Khairatabad, especially at the Khairatabad circle. Since you want to know more about the Ameerpet region, then you should know that the target date for finishing up all these constructions here was the end of June. But its quite obvious that that hasn’t happened. The GHMC were supposed to repair over 235 potholes, but so far the number is only 157.
Actually the works going on here, in the Khairatabad region is a part of the monsoon plan of the GHMC. But so far only 50% of the work has been completed. I know the monsoons have been delayed a bit this year, but that doesn’t mean why they cant have achieved the targets beforehand. It would have been so much better if they had dealt with all these issues on time, instead of dragging this project out. Anybody has any more information on this? Please share.
