In Mysore, the District in charge Minister and the MCC Commissioner will head the committee in order to ensure transparency in the whole process of implementation
Ive heard that out of the Rs. 5 lakhs, Rs. 4.5 lakhs has to be spent on the construction of the building and the rest Rs. 50,000 for providing necessary infrastructure. Also, the scheme will continue even in the 13th five year plan.
Each house will cost around Rs. 5 lakhs, with the Central Government providing 50% and the State Government contributing nearly 40% of the cost, the remaining to be borne by the beneficiaries.
Under the scheme, it is proposed to build 26,000 houses in the State at a cost of Rs. 1,330 crores and in Mysore, it is planned to build 2,689 houses at a cost of Rs. 145 crores.
I've heard that 16,000 families living in 77 areas across the city have been identified to be covered under this scheme. Proper houses will be built for them to live in.
