Q: Hey I'm new to the city. I've heard there was a lot of political tension very recently and I want to know how it has affected the real estate sector of the city?
The minister also says that now that Hyderabad has got a stable government, there are no more obstacles in the way of its development. There are plans to develop a square near the Biodiversity park, similar to the one of Union Square in New York City.
Civic facilities are going to be paid attention to and improved as well. A walkway is going to be constructed along the Durgam Cheruvu and even a hanging bridge might come over this lake located in the posh area of Hitech city. People will very much be interested in real estate options here.
There are big plans to attract IT companies in Hyd through establishing a Technology Development Bank. They want to recreate the eco system that Bangalore currently has in terms of the industrial and commercial sectors.
It's not just about the government activities that lead to changes in Hyd. There are also pland to set up leisure activities as people are attracted to these things. There is a huge Adlabs amusement park coming up in Adibatla and also the sunburn music festival as well. The minister has said that in about 1 year, because of all this, Hyderabad will 'rock' :)
A lot of realty experts feel that Hyderabad will offer the best returns from investment as the property prices in Bangalore and Chennai are much more than that of Hyderabad. It will be an advantage to the investr if property prices are lower.
A lot of people lost their faith to invest in the once popular leisure city of Hyderabad because of all of the political instability. This led to a slowdown of the economy as well. Now steps are being taken to renew the brand image of Hyderabad and make people feel safe to invest in this city again.
Hyderabad is famous for its IT companies, hospitality, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical tourism. All these sectors were affected during the time when the state was splitting. Now the situation is better by heaps and bounds.
There were alwso concertina wires lying everywhere and policemen were everready to put them up and shield of areas when required. The image of Hyderabad was in shambles.
I remember when I visited Hyderabad a few months ago, all the buildings were covered with these colourful plastic nets that were there to protect against stones being hurdled at the buildings by people who were desperate to get a seperate state. It was an unsafe time for everyone.
