Bannur Road new four lane road development sanction

Q: Is there any upgrade planned for State highway 33 near Bannur Road? I use the route frequently. But if I am to move to the locality, I want to know the hurdles in connectivity.

hey a 24x7 water supply scheme was also launched no? For Bannur region only I believe. I think the sanctioned allocation was 22.7 crores. The point is that they will again dig up the roads for such a huge water project, and side by side road work wont get done. Expect delays

I think the Mysore- Malavalli Road is also in contention for upgrades. It was during the same announcement I noticed it. Because I keep visiting my relatives in Malavalli. If that road is also converted into a highway there will be blocks before work is completed

The main plans here are to upgrade the State Highway 33 especially by linking up Mysore and the Korategere Bavali Road. This itself is around 60 crores. And then the epansion work of Bannur town where a 4 lane highway will come.

If I am right, over Rs 680 crore has been allocated for the Mysore district road development. The Public Works Minister had also spoken about repairing some canal. I think the Ramaswamy Canal.

Yeah I read in the news 2 months ago I guess. It is good to know that Bannur Road is getting upgrades too. Especially the highway area. It is high time the roads become four way man. Traffic is already a headache. On top of that these roads. Sigh

Oh it is actually a relief to hear that. I used to tell my friends that the roads have gone so bad that if you want to spoil your mood, just go to the Koratagere or Bannur roads. Hope this results in real development.

Yes you are right. Last month only the Chief Minister announced that road dvelopment funds have been set and that Mysore is going to focus on the State Highways as one part of the project.
