Simple ya. There are these civic authorities which need to collaborate and work it out. One is our very own KSRTC. They want independent umbrella authority. Then the Mysore City Corporation and the Mysore Urban Development Authority. I seriously wish they work the BRTS out
I think they had identified the particular corridors for implementation too. Yelwal to Mellahalli, KRS to Kadakola, Bogadi to Mahadevapura and Srirangapatna to Hudgur Cross.
Hey seriously, Bogadi is just one of the lesser areas in terms of traffic congestion. With so much widening and expansion taking place in the Mysore city, BRTS should soon be a reality. Else traffic will be unimaginable.
A feasibility report was generated by the Rail India Technical and Economic Services. They studied the current fleet of buses and how they are functioning in the city. But the construction time was not flexible enough it seems.
Hey. Come on. In India you never know where does half the money go. the BRTS concept was first part of this Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission. Later our Chief minister pooled in that money for Mysore and Hubli
Yes Bogadi was part of the Mysore plan for the Bus Rapid Transit System. On paper it was sanctioned with an allocation of Rs 500 crores. I wonder where has all the money gone.
Haha. Actually it looks like you are new to the BRTS system. A BRTS system for Mysore was a project porposed years ago in 2007. It has since remained as it is. Sad.
