Hi Vinay,
Delays in construction of residential projects are common in India. Developers include a grace period, generally 6 months, in their agreement with buyers. Most homebuyers take a delay of 6-12 months as granted. Sometimes, possession is delayed even beyond the expected time period. What is the right step one should take? Advice me....

Well Siddharth,
Buyers have little say in booking agreements. The penalties for delay in payments by buyers are mentioned explicitly but obligations of timely delivery by builders are played down. Try to talk with the builder and ask him for the compensation. You will get your money back with interest for sure.

Hi,
I have a word with their sale executive regarding the project and he told me that the possession will be started from December'2014. If still there is a delay in project then pressurized on developer and ask for compensation on delays.
