See, from what I hear, one of the hospitals had constructed a room for storing medicines ok. And this part was planned to be a parking space as per the aopproved schematic. So the local planning authrotiy is crosschecking the documents with the final building. The hospital had to demolish the room, and revised plans will be submitted. In some other cases, residential projects also are under scrutiny. Misplaced amenities will come under question.
Did you know two hospitals were also involved in this violation investigation last week? 11 residential buildings and 2 commercial ones got the notice. This time 34 residential complexes, 12 educational institutions and all have deviated from the plans. They are all in trouble right now. But I am still not clear how have they deviated.
Oh, even I was surprised by this news. Basically the LPA officials have told that group buildings, which are usually gated communities have more than one block. They will be given a 15 day notice period. They need to rectify the violations, and submit plan revisions. Else the buildings will be seized and locked. I don't know though what types of buildings these are exactly.
It is a very recent news. The LPA (Local Planning Authority) of Coimbatore probed into 67 buildings/ projects in various localities after receiving complaints. There were some discrepancies in the documents during commissioning the projects. So now about 47 of those 67 buildings are getting notices soon.
Are you serious? Notices like what? I have heard about demolition notices given as a punishment sometimes for illegally constructing in areas. But this is just deviating from plan right? Many real estate projects will get affected if mass notices are issued.
I read something on those lines recently in the local newspapers. I thought it was restricted to Saibaba Colony. But there are certainly new rules that will come soon because of the violation. Some buildings deviated from their building plans during construction.
Yes, you are correct. But it is not just Saibaba Colony. Vadavalli, uppilipalayam, Vilankruichi, Avinashi Road, Ramanathapuram, and Trichy Road are all in the list of places. Mostly the civic infrastructures and residential complexes have broken the rules. The local planning authority decided to investigate, and surprisingly many of these projects have skipped the approved plans.
