This plan was on the 2013-2014 budget and now it is part of the 2014-2015 budget also. Even the thadagam-perur link road which was supposed to have been completed ages ago still hasn't taken off. At the rate they're going, I doubt even one scheme road will be completed by 2016. If the council had actually focused on doing this, coimbatore would have had 15 scheme roads by now. They should seriously first commit to pending projects before taking on new projects.

Q: Hey I have a 2 wheeler but I am scared to come to Vedapatti because of the many stray dogs that are very ferocious in this locality. Are the civic authorities doing anything about this situation?

But this is hardly going to dent the city's street dog population which, according to the estimate of animal welfare organisations, stands at around 70,000 to 1 lakh dogs. Also the civic authorities have decided to take on sterilisiing street dogs as per residents in trouble and not per geographical pattern. So work is extremely slow, hopefully problem should be solved soon.

Basically, the drainage work that started in Venkitapuram and other areas of the neighbourhood has not been completed efficiently. This is really not fair on the part of Coimbatore Corporation and if they want to provide us with civic facilities like a proper drainage system then it should not be with the cost and compromise of other facilities as basic as roads! School children need to be picked up from new bus stops by parents, as the buses and vans refuse to come into the narrow lanes where the roads are very bad. Coimbatore in general needs a complete makeover, infrastructure wise.
