About houses, well if you want a 2 bedroom house, you will have to pay around Rs. 50 - 60 lakhs in which the floor space will be about 1500 sq ft. If you want to buy a 3 bedroom house, you will have to pay around Rs. 60 lakhs which gives you floor space of 1000 sq ft. Now if you want a bigger 3 bedroom house, floor space of around 2000 - 2500 sq ft, you will have to pay an amount in the range of Rs. 60 - 80 lakhs.

Latest Answer: Hello there :) I have a family friend who stays in R S Puram, and from what I've heard (and seen for myself!) it's pretty much a well developed area. Many of the city's main government offices, commercial centers, tourist and cultural spots, schools and colleges, IT companies, restaurants, shopping malls etc are located in R S Puram. The State Electricity Board and Water Resources have offices here too. A lot of apartments have been constructed in the locality, and many more are under construction. There is also a huge floating population in here, because of all the commercial space. The public transport system here consists of buses, autos and trains which have different stations/stands in the area. DB Road is the primary centre, with Mettupalayam Road towards the East and Thadagam Road towards the West.

Especially, with the amenities and features, these people are offering, it’ll be luxurious living for sure. It’s kinda in wilderness, so it’s serene, but don’t worry it’s pretty accessible. They have terrace swimming pools, a health club with Jacuzzi and spa. There’s a mini theater also in the premises, along with the regular gated community amenities. They also common driver or servant rooms. So, almost everything is covered. So, I think it is good investment. But, because you’ll be spending like 2 crores, do check all documentation twice, hire a lawyer maybe for any help.

Latest Answer: Actually you know, there was an effort to clean up these drains sometime back. You know that canal that runs from the Big Tank via Karumbukkadai? Yeah well, the corporation tried to desilt it, but they were unable to do so because of several problems. One of the major issue was that the blockage was so heavy, that even the desilter machine was getting stuck in all the garbage. Word was that it would be cleaned manually, but nothing ever happened after that. It has been almost 2 years since the last cleaning :(

Latest Answer: Hey there have been some major changes in the garbage disposal system in Coimbatore. Around Rs 98 crore was allotted to the solid waste management scheme in Coimbatore. Under this scheme the corporation is distributing different coloured bins to residents to help them segregate wet and dry waste products. Educating the city’s residents on the benefits and methods of waste segregation is one of the main motives of this scheme. But I don’t know how far it has been successful in doing that, I can still see overflowing garbage bins in areas like Mahaliamman Kovil Street.

Q: What is the condition of roads on the Nanjundapuram Road near Ramanathapuram Junction?
Latest Answer: Hey are you planning to shift somewhere in the area near the Nanjundapuram road? If so then I should warn you that the condition of the road is very bad. Construction work that had been going on for setting up an underground sewage system. One side of the road is basically a long trench where the drainage pipe is being set up. Also, manholes are being placed every 30mts or so on the road. The onflowing traffic coming in both directions have to manage within the remaining half of the road, which is not enough. Even though the corporation has tried to cover up some parts of the trench using gravel, it has not helped the situation. The road is now extremely uneven and poses a threat to first time travellers. in the night.
