How/where to find/get the details of the exact land survey numbers that gets affected by this coimbatore bypass western ring road?? Please help, I need it urgently...Thanks
Sri

Pls visit the state highways office that handles land acquisition for the same. Also you may write a RTI letter stating the concerned survey numbers addressed to the highways department, Perur taluk tahsildar and the district collector.

RAAC also welcomed the announcement that a western bypass road, connecting Mettupalayam Road, Thadagam Road, Marudhamalai Road, Perur Road and Palakkad Road. This bypass road would help travellers to Udhagamandalam and Mysore avoid driving through the city.Project is approved and construction work is going to start soon...

Apparently the state highways department got revamped support from some private firms who relaid the entire project plan. Now there will be very few houses demolished. Once the approval is in, they will start the land acquisition. Lesser effect on the people. The future growth around this area is potential manifold. Once the road is laid, social infrastructure will soon pop up.

If I remember correctly, this project had been lying stagnant because of the number of protests that it faced. I think there were too many houses and industries that were set to demolished. Now they seem to be ready to begin a 1200 crore project in a couple of months from now.

They say the project will involve land acquisition from various sub locales and villages along the 33 km road. Places like Madukkarai, Perur, Gudalur, Kuniamuthur, Sundakkamuthur, Vadavalli etc., will contribute to 300 acres of land. Also around 16 villages will get 625 crores worth compensation too.

Yes yes. This western bypass road project will give access to Bharathiyar University, Chellapagoundenpudur road, kanuvai and dhaliyur pirivu. The news says that about 50 acres of state government owned land will be utilized for this project. Then Kerala bound vehicles from Ooty and Mettupalayam and all can directly bypass city limits.

Well, surely that will be a relief to the building traffic congestion in the northern part of Coimbatore. The local news is full of new projects starting off in terms of infrastructures. It is supposed to be a 33 km long road with four lanes starting from Sugunapuram near Madukkarai until Narasimmanaickanpalayam.

Yes, very recently it has been in the news that the Western Bypass Road project is taking off finally. It was staying dormant for a long time. But the state highway has finally given the green signal. Hope it helps you with your property plans.

Oh, that is a pleasant news! I generally make weekly trips to Kanuvai from Palakkad, and the process of going through the entire city to reach the other end is so tedious. So I assume this route will run parallel and give direct access to Bharathiyar University and all?
