Issues that hamper the work of the Outer Ring Road project in Mysore

Q: Hello guys, I happened to hear that the works of the Outer Ring Road project of Mysore is not going smooth. Can anyone tell me what is the reason for this? What are its inplications on the development of the area as well as the real estate of the Mysore?

I think the work for ORR was started over a decade ago. Most part of the road is ready. It was recently that the urban body is building the 9.33 km of the ORR. Now this ORR loop cannot be completed without building the 800 metre stretch. MUDA requires the land urgently to take up the preliminary works before building the roads. But, i think the APMC has promised to get the necessary clearance done within March 2015.

the situation is like this: The road construction of the ORR is currently taken up till the compound wall of the market yard in Bandipalya. Now for the pending works to be finished it needs the land from the APMC. MUDA had promised an 8 acres of land next to the APMC market yard in exchange for the land that was required for the ORR. But, now the officials of APMC are doubting the fulfilment of the promised compensation.

yeah, i agree with you. actually, the work is hampering because an 800-metre stretch of land was required from the AP for the completion of the project. Now there is some difference of opinion between land sharing. and this hampering of work will have a worse effect on the real estate. The decongestion of the city and the better management means that the traffic would also be controllable making the infrastructure and planning better. this will naturally attract investors.

hey there, the Outer Ring Road project is facing a roadblock at this time actually. This is because, for the completion of the project, the Mysore Urban Development Authority will require some land from the Andhra Pradesh territory. But, the negotiations for this is not going as expected. I think, this project was really an ambitious project from the part of Mysore.

Not really! the plan was to decongest the inner part of Mysore city so that those who had to cross the Mysore city to reach some other destination could easily go round even without touching the city area by using the Outer Ring Road. This would have really helped in reducing the unnecessary traffic inside the city.
