Effects of bad roads on Kochi real estate sector

Q: Hey, i heard that the situation of the roads in kochi is very pathetic. Will this affect the real estate sector of the area in any way? There was this news recently that the repair works will be repaired soon? Is the work started yet?

hey, i think the road works are all finished by now. The potholes are all covered. Now there is not much problem there. But, the works were all finished much after the deadline. Some say that the weather was the problem in delay of work. But i came to know that there were some technology for tarring the road even during the rainy season was available.

Oh, i too heard about this. I think the collector said that the rest of the repair works will also be finished in about 30 days. I came to know that the works at the south ROB side road, KP Vallon road, girinagar road, AV. John Alunkal road, puthiya road as well as mamangalam-pottakkuzhi road are also about to finish.

yeah, that's true. Recently, the district collector has revealed that almost 90 per cent of the kochi city road repair has completed. i think DMRC has also taken up the repair works on either side of Aluva-Vyttila metro corridor, though they will still be dependant on PWD contractors for this..Potholes in some parts like in the Deshabhimani Junction-Kacheripady road was over recently.

Hi there, the condition of the roads was very pathetic till the end of this monsoon. The people were really stranded during the monsoons as the potholes were filled with dirty water. this is going to affect the real estate of the whole of kochi very badly. I think if the infra facilities are taken good care of, this will allow the inflow of more investors. Recently, in many parts of kochi, the road works have started. I think the problem will be temporarily resolved at least.
