Q: Hey all, i am really interested know more about the progress of the land acquisition for metro rail project. Could you please let me know more about this? Thanks in advance :)
see, in the Vyttila-Pettah road, there is an urgent need to widen the road for the coming of metro's civil work on this part. The narrow roads at this road is because of the rampant encroachment actually. The phase of metro's work here will be completed by june 2016. This means that the widening of the roads have to be done very fast by the state government.
Helo there, there some news about the land acquisition from Seematti Textiles recently no? I think the settlement has been done. They are fixed on acquiring the land of this textile which is at MG road. The MoU was not signed because of not reaching consensus, but the KMRL is moving forward in its decision to take the land without considering the objection by the owner.
Hey, i heard that the DMRC has started work for stations only at three points, that is, CUSAT, Pathadippalam, and Kaloor Junction. In Eranakulam South metro station, Kochi corporation has to decide about the 18 cents of land owned by the civic body for the construction of metro station here. Otherwise, this will also get delayed.
Hey, kochi metro was in a great problem regarding the issue of land acquisition. The metro project is still awaiting the land required for construction of various stations. I think they have entered into negotiations with landowners and got most of the land in places between Aluva and Vytilla.
though they have got these lands, some other part of the project is being delayed, especially for Changampuzha Park station and Edappally Junction station. Here the problem is entry and exit point for these stations. the situation is that one side of the road is available, but on the other side, they have not had successful discussions with landowners.
