A number of villa projects have come up in Panvel, Navi Mumbai. These are key as weekend homes which offer suburban living experience and the feeling of owning a big home in a city like Mumbai. So what actually defines luxury: less sharing of common amenities, branded and exclusive interiors, features which are not common e.g. terrace garden, sky garden concept etc.,view from the property.

The price range of these luxury projects is wide in Thane, Mumbai. This has made it possible for even a middle class buyer to connect "luxury" with his home.
Talking about the Navi Mumbai market, the "luxury" concept here has moved in the outer regions where land bank is available in plenty.

Some of the projects in Thane sell Italian flooring as luxury while another project in the area which is truly in the luxury category, offers one-flat per floor, offering privacy as well as exclusivity unlike the regular projects.

Yes Sunil,
From private jets to infinity-pools and private elevators, Mumbai’s luxury market has developed from time to time. However, the same is not true for Navi Mumbai or Thane market where the term "luxury" is being controlled.

Italian marble flooring, modular wooden kitchen and false ceiling are some of the features which are often sold as luxury amenities in regions around Mumbai. But are these features really worth calling luxury? This features have also forced the prices to go up to as high as Rs 40 crore for a 5BHK flat and more than Rs 100 crore for a bungalow in Malabar Hill.
