Hey, presently Srirangapatna is just a tourist spot, with attractions like Tipu Sultan's Dungeon, Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, Daria Daulat Bagh, Nimishambha , and Gosai Ghatt. Also the locality has the Kaveri River surrounding it's outskirts. I wouldn't personally recommend the place just yet,because in my opinion it hasn't developed into a residential locality.
