Aliyar Nagar has a significant number of hospitals and Nursing homes. GP Hospital, Nandha Hospital, Kirupa Multi Speciality Hospitals, Iswarya Fertility Center and Women's Hospital, Ellen Hospital, Vallalar Hospital, and Sri Ramakrishna Hospital are some of the few hospitals in the area.

There is a good investment oppportunity in Aliyar nagar. Veeranam lake is one of the water reservoirs from where the water is planned to be supplied to Chennai, and the lake is quite close to Aliyar Nagar, which ups the ante alltogether.

In my opinion, the locality is a nice place for livelihood and also for commercial purposes. Many realtors have already developed housing socities in and around the area with 2,3 and 4bhk apartments. Few of these apartments include Chern, Srivari, Sunshine, Ramani's Mithila, Vijayraj Sunshine, Devi, PMS Mansion and Dhruvtara Apartments.

Aliyar nagar is well connected to Kamadhenu Nagar, Elango Nagar, Anuparpalayam, R.S. palayam and Shanmuga nagar. The nearest bus station to Aliyar Nagar is Karuvantha Main bus stop. A large number of intra-city private buses connect Aliyar Nagar to a lot of places around the city and also connect the district with all major towns in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala.

Located not more than 2 kms away from the main city, Aliyar Nagar is a residential area encircled by B.K.R Nagar, Gandhi Puram, G.K.S Nagar and G.K.D Nagar Localities. Some of the prominent landmarks include Mary Rani School and Coimbatore Central Jail.
