Q: Hey, I heard that a bridge is suppose to come up to ease traffic at Mahatma Gandhi Bus Stand. Does anyone have any information about it?

A bridge was needed for easy commution in the Mahatma Gandhi area. The place is always bustling with crowd especially during peak hours. I think A bridge will definitely ease traffic congestion in the area. Widening of roads will invite investors from other cities to invest in the devloped areas of hyderabad.

hey, this particular project has been stalled for a while now because of some land issues in the main areas. There is some problem in widening the roads in the area. Around 250 properties should be acquired for widening the roads but till now it has not been done.

Almost 80 road junctions have come under the perview of the project. GHMC and the metro rail in the city are working together to widen roads in the main areas and also to develop them. The main sectors will be developed first for the metro rail project.

The bridge will connect Mahatma Gandhi Bus station to the rang mahal junction. Director of the metro rail project has been asked to work on the detailed report of the bridge and the GHMC is taking up the construction work of the bridge.
