Is it advisable to buy 1bhk apartment near Whitefield area?

Q: I am moving soon to Bangalore. I feel that there are a few 1bhk projects which is within 25 Lakhs. Instead of paying a rent for 15,000 , i thought its good to buy a 1bhk. But some of my friends/relatives are advising against it, because of low resale value and rental incomes.

Buying 1 bhk apartment is Whitefield is a good idea but the resale value for such kind of apartments are really low.

Yeah actually, The resale value for 1 bhk is not that much in Bangalore better you go for 2bhk apartment. You can easily get a 2 bhk apartment in Electronic City within Rs 30 lakhs budget.

I do not agree with you @Dharmesh, The demand for 1 BHK apartments is increasing in areas like Madivala, Koramangala, Electronic City and Mathikere. The general assumption that 1 BHK is targeted by the lower income group is no longer true, the demography of the buyers has changed. Now-a-days, average buyers of these apartments are professionals or double income family just starting their life
