Did you know that alongside passenger and flight traffic, the airport company also expects an upswing in cargo movement. Currently, the cargo segment at the airport is not used up to its potential. Once that is taken care of, you can expect the overcrowding woes to be over.

Given the current capacity, it may not be possible for us to allot the space for these additional aircraft during the peak traffic hours. However, they can be accommodated once the peak hours of international operations are over after 9 a.m

Well here is what i know; According to CIAL officials, steps are in place to manage the flow of passengers and wide-body aircraft by rescheduling their timings to the lean traffic hours. That would actually work, in my opinion.

Yes, the Kozhikode international airport is set to shut down partly for a few months from May 1 owing to runway carpeting work, and the Cochin International Airport Limited is embarking on a plan to accommodate the additional number of passengers and aircraft to be diverted through Kochi.
