The budget proposes a fresh allocation of ₹ 1,000 crore under Nagarothana Scheme. The money will go to BBMP for widening of some important roads e.g. Jayamahal Road, Sarjapura Road (Outer Ring Road to Dommasandra), Bannerghatta Road (J.D. Mara Junction to NICE Road), Dinnur Road (Sanjaynagar Main Road to Ambedkar Medical College), Bellary Road etc.
The real estate sector in Bangalore gets another boost as the state government has made a separate allocation for the construction of new houses by BDA (Bangalore Development Authority) in FY 2015-16. On March 13, during the budget speech, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that BDA would construct and allot 5,000 flats in the next financial year.
