Q: Hello, What happened with the Akrama Sakrama plan that was supposed to start all over Karnataka on march 23.I heard there was some issues in Mysore?
The officials said that the public will have to submit the completed application at the MCC main office which will be forwarded to the MUDA for scrutiny and inspection given that they come under the MUDA and further steps will be taken after that.
This could be profitable for the MCC as it is expecting to receive atleast some 30,000 forms from all the nine zones, including applicants from areas which is under the jurisdiction of Mysuru Urban Development Authority. So there is a lot of money involved.
But the wait did not entirely go to waste. public who came looking for Akrama-Sakrama scheme details were informed about it by the staffs trained specially for the purpose. They guided them on how to go about it and the necessary documents to be appended with the application.
Oh yes, it will be. Officials have said that application form could be ready by Tuesday morning and it is expected to be issued at the zonal offices later in the day for the people to peruse. So people need to keep calm.
He said the government has sent them the format to print the application forms locally and they are at it. Time has constrained us to meet the Monday deadline. We'll see when this gets done. Atleast by the end of the week i hope.
The Mayor has spoken out about this debacle and said that the government gave the go-ahead to start the process late on Friday, and Saturday was holiday on account of Ugadi festival. Which is why they didn't had time to print the application forms. They will be made available in couple of days
But guess what, even though thousands of people came through to get the forms for themselves, seeking to regularize illegal constructions thronged the zonal offices. But they were told that the application forms will be issued later in the week.
Mayor R Lingappa and Mysuru City Corporation commissioner C G Betsurmath on Sunday that application forms for the scheme will be available at all nine zonal offices of the MCC where they could get the forms and start the process of the akrama sakrama.
What were they even doing? Though it had said on Sunday that it will initiate the process, it did not even as hundreds of public left red faced. The MCC said it didn't had time to print the application forms. I don't really believe that they are very busy that way.
The Mysore City Corporation has actually been apologising after it miserably failed to make available the forms that were required for the akrama sakrama applications. The civic body failed to print enough form for the process.
