That's true..The service charge and deposit amount will be different for house connections and non-residents. A building owner paying more than Rs 5,000 has to pay a service tax of Rs 7,750 and a deposit of Rs 14,500.

Oh yeah...I think that the corporation is all set to collect service charges and deposit amount from those who have underground drainage connections in the coming months.

I think that along with this development, the Corporation would also soon lay drinking water pipelines and construct overhead tanks in the added areas. This will be a very good and useful for the residents here.

Exactly, that is why, the Centre has included Coimbatore among the cities under the pilot scheme. The MNRE has said that it would provide financial assistance based on the draft project report which should be submitted by the Corporation jointly with the Tamil Nadu Energy Development Agency.

In the news, you know...the Corporation Commissioner K Vijaykarthikeyan wrote to the MNRE for requesting to include Coimbatore in its Pilot Solar City scheme. I think that he also requested the ministry to provide its share of Rs 2.50 crore.

As far as I came to know, the total cost of setting up the power plants is estimated at around Rs 3.75 crore. You know what, each of these solar power plants will be costing Rs 75 lakh.

Hi there, you know, there is a development going on from the part of the city corporation to set up solar power plants in Coimbatore. I think this will be under the central scheme. You know, now the plan is to set up 5 power plants here.

That's a great news. I want to know who all can harness the energy produced from the Solar plant. Will the residents benefit from this?
