Q: I registered my apartment in Jun 2012 in Bangalore, off Bannerghatta Road. When I went to pay property tax, BBMP official told that I have to pay from 2008 since property tax has not been paid from 2008 by builder. How could the property be registered without tax paid receipt? With fine it comes to 80K now. builder has handed over flats from 2008 to 2012. Mine was the last in Jun 2012. I have the possession certifcate dated Jun2012. Came to know that BBMP will have difficulty in allotting a PID #. Please advice..

Tx Rakesh. But how could they register without fulfilling the tax paid receipt. Looks like some duplicate receipt has been generated

At the time of registrations, tax paid receipts are very much required. While registering did you ask the builder about the said receipt, if not that means the builder has not pay the tax and now it is you who have to pay the tax from 2008
