You will be glad to know that the Mumbai Metropolitan Region has also received signal from the Authority to the road development work estimated at Rs 60.61 crore in areas such as Palghar, Kalyan, Ambarnath, Karjat and Kulgaon-Badlapur. This will really help a lot to boost the real estate market in those areas.

The MMRDA has also sanctioned Rs 35400 crore for a 118 kms expansion of Metro network in Mumbai.

The new areas for which money has been sanctioned include Dahisar-Charkop-Bandra-Mankhurd Metro-2 corridor (Rs 12000 crore and 40 km), Wadala-Ghatkopar-Thane-Kasarvadavali Metro-4 via Wadala GPO and R.A.Kidwai Marg (Rs 12000 crore and 40 km), Dahisar-E-Andheri-E-Bandra-E Metro-5 corridor (Rs 8100 crore and 27 km long) and Jogeshwari-Vikhroli Link Road Metro-6 corridor (Rs 3300 crore and 11 km long).
