If you are confused between investing in a 2 BHK or 3 BHK in Bangalore, you should weigh pros and cons of each option. Usually 2 BHK is preferable for a smaller family. 3 BHK is better for a larger family.

Morning,
I read your blog. This is really very interesting and useful tips to choose apartment size for first time buyer. There are many factors to consider while buying a property such as your present requirements, property prices, locality and future preferences and most importantly, it should be fitted i your budget. As such, it may be quite confusing to choose between a 1, 2 or a 3BHK apartment. As a first time home-buyer, it may not always be easy to choose the right apartment configuration.

There are various advantages of 3 BHK :
1. Sufficient space
2. Convenience for families living under one roof.
3. This unit size, with three separate bedrooms, is in fact considered ideal for decent-sized families.
4. Normally two or more separate balconies with such units add to the charm
5. Comfort of having sufficient personal space.

Hi Ujwal, I would like to suggest 2 BHK units with the lower size of 500 to 800 sqft which will suit your requirement.also it is easy to sell it out in the current market. This size is also known as compact unit size in the affordable segment.Cost effective with enough space for liveability.

Thanks you friends, I basically preferred 2 BHK unit which is easy to get and also easy for sell in future.2 BHK is the most commonly chosen unit size across cities. Because of its popularity, this unit size is easily available in both small towns, as well as big cities. It is also the ideal unit size for couples.

Absolutely true!! 2BHK unit is best suited for a couple. Despite a high demand for 2BHK unit size, even if it is relatively nominal in price, it is not considered cost-effective. Also, families may find it difficult to get comfortable as this unit size generally caters to couples and is slightly congested for three or more people living together. In my families, there are 5 members and I too have 2 BHK units in Pune but we are facing little difficulty in personal space.

Hello Priyanka, I am 27 yrs old and booked 1 BHk unit in Pune.I think BHK size purely depends upon the requirement of individual buyers. A 1-BHK apartment comes at a nominal price. Other than that, it is easy to maintain. This unit size is ideal for bachelors living alone. Even couples often chose such an apartment for the matter of convenience and budgetary constraints. A 1-BHK apartment is cozy and is ideal if one is in a moving job.

Hi, Rohit Absolutely agree with you but it is difficult to find a 1-BHK unit in the several community, especially in big cities.Due to space crunch in 1 BHK, it becomes difficult for families oriented buyer, to feel a sense of comfort in such apartments. Storage is also major trouble in such unit.
