Hi Rohit , I think the growth of the locality can be attributed to multiple factors like location,connectivity, proximity to Pune-Nagar highway, Viman Nagar airport and others. Be it connectivity, proximity to civic amenities or scope of development, Wagholi has it all for its natives. The location supports the growing IT hub of Kharadi, which enables it to welcome residents from city and migrants from other parts of the country.
IT hub in Kharadi nearby, it is seeing a tremendus demand for the property and new project and thus attracting many developers and investor.Being near to the Kharadi IT center point, Wagholi is deliberately situated on the Pune-Nagar Highway. The range offers great integration through. Nagar Road which has now been enlarged. Khandala Loni Road unites the territory to different parts of the city.
I am staying in Wagholi area from last 3 years and I feel it is one of the good places in Pune City. Mostly IT Professionals reside in this area. Wagholi has more than 100 residential projects under construction. Wagholi is yet under Gram Panchayat. But in the next 3 years it would be under PMC Limits.
Wagholi is becoming a preffered residential destination in Pune because of it affordability and proximity to various IT Hubs. The locality has good connectivity via Nagar road and easy access to social infrastructure, schools and malls. It seems a new four lan flyover is proposed which will connect Wagholi to Shikrapur. Nagar Road has now been widened into a six kane road. Less traffic is there because of the broad roads.
Few well known developers who have recently come up with good project in this locality are as follows: 1. Guardian Developers, 2. Karia Developers, 3. Kolte Patil and Bhandari Associates. IT professionals mainly seek residence in Wagholi, as it offers affordable living and that is the main reason behind developers showing strong interest in launching new projects in this area.
