Gift Property Registration charges in Hyderabad, Telangana
Q: Hi, My mother want to transfer flat from her name to my name, it is Gift. How much Gift stamp duty, Transfer duty, Registration fee will be charged.
i did not get answer to my question. What is the percentage of Stamp Duty(%), Transfer Duty(%) for Gift property from Mother/Father to Son in Telangana state/Hyderabad.. This percentage is on Govt.value of property. please can anyone who knows perfect answer
Under section 122 of the Transfer of Property Act, 1882, you can transfer immovable property through a gift deed. It is mandatory to register a gift deed with the sub-registrar as per section 17 of the Registration Act, 1908, and as per section 123 of the Transfer of Property Act. The transfer will be invalid, if you don’t do it.

In some states, stamp duty rates for property transfer by gift is the same as for sale or conveyance deed. Stamp duty and registration fee has to be paid to register a gift deed.
