1. In Maharashtra, the following is applicable, for Transfer of Membership.
a) 500/- as Membership Transfer Fees
b) 100/- as Membership Entrance Fees
c) 25000/- as Share Transfer Premium

2. Any demand by the Society, beyond the above, is a Criminal Offense of Extortion and Cheating. So, chk your bye-laws and also sale deed what all mentioned on it.

You need to pay a price for club membership and it is NOT optional.

Hi Samik,
If the society is not formed then you have to pay to the Builder the membership fees, it is very nominal fees.
And you can get your name in society share certificates after its formation. but here also you have to pay nominal membership fee.
