Hi Maatrum,
Visit the www.tnreginet.net website, click on Apply Online, a form will display. Fill out the personal information and property details and submit the application. They will gave you acknowledgement for it. Check status of your EC after a week, it will give you the current status of your EC.

Yes, at present, residents can apply for an EC online, on the website www.tnreginet.net. After the application has been given in, the certificate has to be collected in person from the sub-registrar’s office or is sent by post. But the postal option, where payment has to be made through value payable post after delivery, is not very popular
