But at the same time, there is some good news that a three-member committee of Uttar Pradesh ministers has given a 2-year deadline to Amrapali group to finish its 10 residential projects in Noida and Greater Noida. Also, homebuyers need not pay until the groups projects are ready for possession. The governments intervention held out hope to thousands of distressed homebuyers of Amrapali.
Hi Richa and Jeet. I have read issues and the problem you are facing due to the builders. But as per builder, the entire structure is ready but because of legal hassles, we could never get enough time to finish it. Over this, Noida Authority has slammed a huge interest on us. We can start work on this if the Authority waives the interest. If we are given interest waiver, we will deliver five towers every three months.
On 13th October, tightening its noose around real estate major Amrapali Group, the Supreme Court today restrained its promoters from leaving the country without its permission in a bid to secure the interests of hassled homebuyers.
If you are getting a good deal and stay away from this project. There are lots of court cases pending against the developer and their projects in Noida. In June 2017, a homebuyer of Amrapali Leisure Park, Greater Noida, invoking sections 420 (cheating) and 406 (criminal breach of trust) of IPC for the delay in possession. The flat was supposed to handover by 2014 but still, homebuyers are struggling to get their flat possession.
Hello Richa, The Amrapali Leisure Park project was launched in 2011. The project fell in the 578-hectare Patwari Land whose acquisition was challenged by farmers. In May 2011, the project had to be stalled. All litigation related to the land was closed in May 2015 when the farmers settled for higher compensation. There are 2200 flats at Amrapali Leisure Park. But still, it is far away from our hands. I don't know when will I get my flat possession.
