Punawale is a fast developing suburb of Pimpri-Chinchwad, located in the north of Pune. It is situated in the bank of Pawana river. Pune-Mumbai Expressway is just 2 km away from Punawale. Earlier, it was an underdeveloped village but in late 1990, the village grew to catch up with the vast industrialization and expansion of the nearby Pune City. Tathawade, Jambhe, Ravet, Laxminagar, Pradhikaran are its neighboring localities. This locality is well connected to the rest of the city by public transportation. PMPML buses shuttle across the area frequently, connecting it with other areas of the city. Sharing private Auto Rickshaws and cabs are also available.
