PMC Patna to issue tenders for outsourcing sanitation work.
Q: I heard that Patna Municipal Corporation will issue tender to outsource sanitation work. Is any date mentioned?

Latest Answer: Till now they have not given any tentative date but till the tender is passed, the civic body will continue with collecting garbage with the help of permanent sanitation workers.

Latest Answer: Patna Municipal Corporation said that due to the shortage of manpower they are not able to book cases on individual defaulters. But the municipal corporation is planning to stop these illegal constructions at the earliest.

Q: Has Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation appointed any one for the istallation of the plants? Where are they going to install the plant?

Latest Answer: BUIDC has appointed a chinese firm for installing the customized sewage treatment at Hajipur, Begusarai and Buxar. The project is expected to get completed by November 2013.

Q: I believe in Chhath and I was so concerned what initiatives had been taken by the volunteers in Patna? Was it safe this year as opposed to other years? What measures were taken for the devotees?

Latest Answer: All the roads of the locality were decorated by lights and it looked more neat and clean. Volunteers of Chhath Puja Samithi were taking the intiative to clean the Ghats and put lights in the evening for the safety of the devotees, the volunteers as well as the people living in Patna were working with full enthusiasm to keep the streets clean till the puja.
