Q: BBMP set new rules for contractors. I am keen to know those rules.
Latest Answer: Apart from the engineers who are responsible for poor quality works, even the Chief Finance Officer who releases money without looking into quality control reports, must be made responsible. It seems that the Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) have turned a blind eye towards such poor work.

Q: Bangalore city still lacks in basic amenities but there is no one to take the initiative and provide basic facilities to the residents of the city. Even I heard that BBMP overlooked the weed growing problem in Bangalore. Why the civic body so careless regarding its own citizens and not taking any initiative to provide them with at least basic amenities?

Latest Answer: JRD Tata Nagar Residents’ Welfare Association is one of the Residents' Welfare Association who work for its residents. Complaining for amenities wont work constant follow up and a good relation with the authority will only work out. Do you know that the BDA has taken the initiative of clearing the weeds from the city.

Q: Why is the civic body not taking any action against the realty defaulters in Patna?
Latest Answer: Patna Municipal Corporation said that due to the shortage of manpower they are not able to book cases on individual defaulters. But the municipal corporation is planning to stop these illegal constructions at the earliest.

Latest Answer: The Clean well unit said that they are not cleaning the garbage of that colony because some of the residents had stopped paying their monthly fees.

Latest Answer: Many things need to be studied before lying a road and the lack of planning shows the quality of the roads. This is what is happening with the Chennai city, the civic body do not have proper planning and they think that it is matter of just rolling bitumen.

Q: I heard that municipal corporation have traced illegal buildings in Pune. Will the civic body take any action regarding this?
Latest Answer: Yes you are right the municipal corporation have traced nearly 160 illegal constructions. The Ancient Monuments and Archaeological Sites and Remains Act, 2010 have taken the initiative to eradicate the constructions.

Q: What is the reason that the city is losing its beauty? What is the next step the civic body is going to take?
Latest Answer: The resident and the civic body both are fed up of the current condition of the city, garbage dumped all over the roads. To come over the problem the AMC has decided to rope in a non-profit organization for the task, they have collected all the information from the civic body as well as the officials of AMC. Solid Waste Management are first going to analyze the situation and later on they will execute the plan area wise.

Q: Illegal hoarding has mushroomed the Pune city. Now what steps the civic body is going to take so that the citizens do not put such illegal banners?
Latest Answer: In last five days all illegal hoarding were removed from the Pune city by the civic administration. Most of the hoardings were festival greetings which were set up during the diwali and some of them were put up by the political people. The civic body has requested the citizens not to put any advertisement on the street light poles or any such banners. The PCMC did not give license to put such hoarding and legal action can be taken against such people. The civic body has already issued a warning that fine will be imposed on individual putting unauthorized banners.
