Road builders eye Rs. 60000 crore orders
Q: India is no doubt to award road projects worth Rs 60000 crore in the last quarter of the financial year to March.

Latest Answer: Of the orders being offered as EPC contracts by the National Highways Authority of India, 6-8 were to be bid out as BOT projects earlier but the government decided to award them as cash projects in view of the unwillingness of the developers to take up these projects.

Latest Answer: The construction of 4-lane bridge over river Brahmaputra including viaduct and its approaches connecting Gohpur on NH-52 and Numaligarh on NH-37 needs to be started immediately. Theer are other projects such as- six-laning of the Guwahati bypass with provision of a 6-lane flyover at Basistha Chariali, developing NH-151 connecting Karimganj to Sutarkandi and NH-53 from Silchar to Jiribam, to construct Malidhar RCC bridge on NH-44 and few more..
