Extension of Volvo Service from Kadugodi Bus Stand upto Safal Market

Q: Hi all

I have taken up the issue of extending Volvo Service beyond Kadugodi Bus Stand upto Safal Market. I requested Subbu Vincent editor of Citizen Matters who took the lead for construction of Whitefield Railway Overbridge, to take interest in this matter. Subbu has spoken to Sampangi Ramagowda, Chief Traffic Management Officer, BMTC who has agreed for the survey of the area. Subbu recommends that we should send individual request letter to Mr. Ramagowda at ctmobmtc@gmail.com with rough numbers of how many users there might be to speed up decision making there. Sorry I could not see your mail. However I took up the issue with BMTC who replied on 21.10.2011as follows:

"335E service frequency is 5 minutes at present which will be adversely affected if the route is extended and the present commuters may complain. Therefore extention may be considered when ever new buses are added on this route."

Probably some local influence may help.
