Q: I am planning to buy an apartment in Baguiati as I heard that the area is too good. Can any one suggest me about the situation?

Hi! Biswanath,
Baguiati is one of the popular landmarks in the city. It lies stragically in the north-eastern periphery of Kolkata city, off the Kazi Nazrul Islam Sarani which is popularly known as VIP Road. In the past few years, the place has been developing into an important commercial and trade centre. The areas which are near Baguiati includes Krishnapur (also known as Kestopur), Dum Dum and Salt Lake. The locality is about 14 km from the center of the city.

Hi Biswanath, I stay in Baguiati, the locality have lot of advantages like the airport is very near, it is well connected to the city through metro and other commercial areas, it is located on VIP road. Various shops are available there like electrical shops, medical shops. It a good locality because banks, schools, hospitals, railway stations all are nearby only. The nearby localities are Salt Lake, Kestopur, Ultadanga, Dum Dum and Nager bazaar.
