Do I need to pay one month rent if I vacate house before said time?
Q: Do I need to pay one month rent if I leave rented house before the agreement expires?
As there is no such rule in my rent agreement to pay one month rent if I leave the house before expiry of agreement, only it is mentioned \"either party shall inform by written ONE (1) month before vacating the schedule". So i discussed with my owner and he is saying I have to pay one month rent for leaving early. It's not the painting charges which usually give after completion of agreement. My owners comment I need to Pay 2 months rent (one is for leaving early and another as painting charges).
I said clearly i will not pay any extra money as there is no rule mentioned in agreement...now he is says he does not have money to refund my deposit amount & asking me to wait for some time....
Hi Santosh, how did you convince your owner then... Did you pay him extra or managed to convince him.. i too had the experience when I vacated my house last month as I was shifting from Bangalore to Hyderabad... I had to pay extra..
Check if the owner has got a new tenant or not.. If a new tenant is ready to occupy the flat as soon as you vacate then owner will not incur any loss... so that you have no need to worry..
If you are vacating the house you should inform the owner before 1 month and he will deduct some amount of money from the advance whatever you have paid for renovation.
Hi Santosh, There is no such rule that you have to pay one month rent if you are vacating the house before said time and moreover the owner have not given any such written document also.
