Procedure of settlement deed execution in Bangalore.

Q: What is the procedure of settlement deed execution in Bangalore? If any person who had executed one may please respond. My sister-in-law wishes to transfer her property by executing a settlement deed to my wife (her own sister).

Gift deed would be a better option.. It shows as if the owner is gifting the property to someone..

Can someone tell me what is deed of settlement? Is it a sales deed or different one?

As per my knowledge, deed of settlement need compulsory registration and attracts stamp duty. However, concessions are available for settlement made in favour of family members. Contact your legal expert to know more on the same. Thank you
