What do I do to change the name in Property tax?

Q: I bought a flat in Bilekahalli, Bangalore and transferred the khatha in my name. To my surprise still the property tax comes in the name of the previous owner. How do I change this?

Not only you, there are many facing the same issue with BBMP. The officials do not update the info asap and that's why this problem occurs.

Submit evidence of change of ownership of property by submitting documents on which proper stamp duty has been paid and the transfer registered properly.
