I agree with Yogendra and Mritunjoy because of the incomplete work residents are facing problems like the pipes have been left open, drain water has entered several houses, mixing with drinking water and the residents have got their sumps cleaned several times.Commuters are helpless as they have no other choice as it is the only road that connects Shantinagar with the main road. The students have to make the risky journey every day, as a primary school is situated on the road.
The residents staying in Shantinagar have filed several complaints with both the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board and Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike but no one has turned up to look into their problems. The officials at Palike and the board have been blaming each other for the messy road.
I am a resident of Nanjappa road and the civic body has dug the stretch in one go instead of working in parts. Now the entire stretch is in a bad shape. Garbage piling up is an add-on problem. The authority did not even inform them before starting the work. The civic workers cut the road and left the work incomplete.
To lay drain pipes, the road was dug four months ago but now the work has stopped and the road is filled with huge holes and the number of accidents on the road has gone up from the time the construction work had stopped.
No the road work is left incomplete and the residents and commuters of Nanjappa Road in Shantinagar are facing lot of problem every time they pass through this stretch.
