Hi Guys,
According to the latest news, as part of attempts to have the industrial hub selected among the 1st phase of smart cities of the nation, the Municipal Corporation of Faridabad (MCF) is arranging motivating sessions with different stakeholders to develop a new plan in this regard.
Hi Aman,
According to sources, MCF commissioner Ashok Sharma declared that once the issues are recognized, the action plan on the particular area would be prepared. In this series of many seminars, a session was arranged by CII in partnership with the British High Commission on Smart Cities and Developing Urban Infrastructure.
Addressing the foreign delegates, Honorable Deputy Commissioner of Fairdabad, Mr Amit Kumar Agrawal said that there is a requirement for powerful engagement as well as collaboration with urban local bodies, RWAs and industry too. Faridabad, being a major part of the industrial belt and linked with DMIC, that will have an important part in the smart city wave.
Hi Guys,
I came to know from news that, India and UK can work jointly on developing smart cities through mutual learning. Smart Cities give local authorities the tools to take successful decisions, resolve any expected issues anxiously as well as better harmonize public open resources. Faridabad was added in the list of 98 cities which will be emerged under the Smart Cities mission.
The negative things in Faridabad is mainly due to arising civic issues like water supply, availability of drinking water and electrical supply have distances to cover in Faridabad. In Greater Faridabad the civic facilities are not yet fully developed unlike some of the other NCR areas. Crossings Republik has a proposed dumping ground, which can be an issue of concern for the area.
Faridabad has proximity to Delhi which is its main advantage. The National Highway-2 (Delhi-Mathura Road) passes through the city. Delhi Faridabad Skyway of 4.4 km length, makes it an easier and minimal time consuming endeavour to commute between Delhi and Faridabad. New Delhi and Hazrat Nizammudin Railway Station is about 25 km away from Faridabad Station and it falls on the broad gauge of Delhi-Mumbai route. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is extending the metro rail service to the city as well, which will further boost the connectivity to the city.
How about the connectivity to Faridabad from important places? And what about other facilities and road development, infrastructural development etc. If one has to buy property in Faridabad, then these are the main things to be noted.
Hi Kamal, properties in Faridabad have been witnessing good rate of price-hike.. In case of multi-storey apartments, usually every quarter the rates are getting hiked.. Around 8 to 24 % rise has been seen in different areas of Faridabad. Since the appreciation levels are good, buyers are keen to invest so the housing demand is rising. Plots in Faridabad are also very expensive in good localities. Plots in Neharpar cost nearly RS 30,000 per sq yard. Rate is approx. Rs 19,000 in Palwal and approx. Rs 43,000 in Sector – 85.
Faridabad real estate is fast developing in the recent years. It is the largest city of Haryana and shares its boundaries with NCR. A recent study has projected this old industrial city as the country’s ‘city of the decade 2011-21‘. It is the economic hub of the North Indian state. Because of its proximity with Delhi and its strategic location is attracting investments.
