I have recently (2 month) shifted to Bangalore from Mumbai.

Q: I am paying 12000+1500 rent (anathanagar Phase II) for 2 BHK. I have plan to stay here for 5-10 years. I am interested in investing 40 lacs (rate of 2400/sqft) for an identified residential 2 BHK flat in anathanagar Phase II. The purpose is for residential as well as for investment. However, i doubtful about the appreciation after 5-10 years. i also want to know how the resale/rent market future.Will it be better to stay in rented accommodation Or it will be beneficial to invest in property.

If it is only investment purpose only then you can buy in Mumbai itself, because the appreciation level is high there only compared to Bangalore.

Thanks Sankalp and Raj, I have a 1 BHK at kandivali mumbai & i am getting good rental income on it. However, i can manage to invest in another flat as mentioned above. Howevr, I am not sure about the resale rent market here in b'laore. will I get gud appreciation after 5/10 yrs?

It is better to buy a property than to rent for your whole life. In this area you can expect appreciation after few years.
