Q: Hi, I am planning to buy an apartment in South Delhi region. Can someone suggest me if there is any. Is it wise to invest there? How is the realty market in South Delhi?
Builders incur loss due to longer holding time for their projects which are up for sale. As the units are usually quoted at higher rates, they will have to hold on for many months and that will block their investments. Therefore builders opt to reduce prices. Adding to it, a number of developers have entered the realty estate of Delhi and there are too many projects.
But why they have to sell at low rates.. cant they wait for some time and once rates get stable, they can sell their apartments.. in that way they will not incur loss I guess..
The slowdown of economy, overflow of new residential properties in South Delhi are the reasons for the fall in real estate in the city. Sluggishness in the market is forcing some of the developers to sell apartments at discounted rates.
When the rates are low it is actually good to buy properties.. but in future if there is improvement and price-hike, then it is fine. Otherwise you will incur huge loss on it... What is the reason for less property sales in South Delhi?
Sagar, there are too many unsold properties in South Delhi region. Property prices are stagnating and in colonies like Saket and Greater Kailash, apartments are being sold at lower rates.
