The final and fourth Tunnel Boring Machine, Krishna will shortly enter the underground tunnel below the Magestic UG station now known as Kempegowda Underground station. Boring work is expected to be completed by December 2015.
The construction work at majestic is crucial for many reasons. Two imported tunnel boring machiens have started their journey of tunnelling from the same place. Both the machines have successfully tunneled till the Vidhana Soudha metro underground station and are now proceeding towards Minsk Square.On the other hand, two other tunnel boring machines, which were proceeding from KR Market, will reach the Majestic station soon to continue operations towards Sampige Road in Malleswaram.
The interchange station can be easily accessed by denizens travelling in KSRTC, BMTC or the railways, which are located very close to the station. The safety of passengers at the interchange is topmost work for BMRCL, they have to make sure that air-conditioning system and ventilation works properly.
The BMRCL has come up with a metro project, Majestic interchange station, where north-south and east-west corridors of Namma Metro will intersect.The Bangalore metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has set a budget of Rs 277 crore for the project.
