Vitrified tiles are tougher and rigid when compared to ceramic tiles and are scratch resistant too. My suggestion is to use vitrified tiles.

It is better to use vitrified tiles for floors and ceramic tiles for kitchen and bathroom they are best cheaper too.

There are different types of tiles or granite or marbles that you can use for your newly constructed house. As kitchen and main entrance should have hard surface, we can use tiles or porcelain tiles.
