In 2012, the memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between BBMP and Maverick Holdings & Investments Private Limited on the development of a housing complex for economically weaker sections (EWS) at Koramangala. But there is no update whether the construction had started or not.

BBMP told the Karnataka High Court that 148 persons found residing illegally in the quarters allotted to 1,512 identified persons at the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) quarters at Ejipura will be provided with alternative housing elsewhere
