As far as i know the Bangalore Mysore Infrastructure Corridor(BMIC) has also added a hike to land values in the city as this infrastructure corridor will reduce the travel time between Bangalore and Mysore and people might prefer to stay back in Mysore and work in Bangalore because of its serenity and affordability.

The Mysore-Bangalore double track and a railway line to Kodagu is a very important infrastructure intiative. Most large-scale Industries in Mysore-Hebbal Industrial Area. Mysore’s development plans include 47 kms of roads within the city and the Bus Rapid Transit System connecting the east-west and north-south corridors.

Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB) developing enabling environment for the industries across the border. Also heard in recent railway budget, the railway minister has extended four trains to Mysore, which will help improve connectivity to Bangalore and north Karnataka. ΙΤ parks at Mysore in PPP mode are under development.

Mysore is one of the few Tier-2 cities in the country which has Outer Ring Road (ORR) and has attracted the attention of buyers and investors alike. Mysore also will have good connectivity to Chennai and Ooty. It will have a Peripheral Ring Road as well in future.

Bangalore-Mysore corridor road has fuelled a dramatic growth in Mysore property markets.With regard to its serene and peaceful surroundings, Mysore is among one of the most preferred residential locations in Karnataka. It has been a pensioner’s paradise and now Bangalore residents also look at it as a feasible option for their first and second homes. Investor demand is driven mainly by IT professionals .These IT professionals are primarily from south. Mysore still has to enchant investors from other parts of India to invest in there.

In fact for some Bangloreans feel reaching Mysore is much faster and easier than hours-long arduous Bangalore traffic.In future it might follow the footsteps of Mumbai Pune expressway and the effects it created on the real estate market of both the cities.
