Q: As far as I know the registrations of B Khata properties were stopped since months. Is there any chance or idea when they are going to start again with the registrations?
According to sources, more than 90% of construction and vacant plots in BBMP limits comes under B-khata. Many times properties under B-khata resulting in good revenue for the government.
I think the decision to open up registrations for B khata as it would help cash strapped BBMP to wipe up revenue to the tune of over Rs 1,000 crore and utilize the money for various development activities.
Good news for B Khata property owners, the cabinet has decided to allow registration and transaction of properties of B-khatas (title deeds) in BBMP limits. :) :)
B-khatas properties are those properties which do not have proper title or those with deviations. Layouts and houses constructed on properties belonging to revenue land, properties which has not got converted from the district deputy commissioners are termed as B-khata. Even if conversation of those properties has taken place and the plot has not been approved by the local planning authority like BBMP, BIAPPA and BMRDA is also known as B-khata.
