Few projects in south Bangalore have included semi-private common areas, for two nearby apartments which can be utilized as sit outs. Investing in such properties fulfills the purpose of getting a nice comfy place for weekend gatherings. The extension of Metro lines till AOL ashram, the presence of the Turahalli forest and the existence of healing care centres have transformed this region into an attractive residential destination for retirees and senior citizens.

Some of the key developers of the city such as Puravankara Builders, Prestige Group, Sobha Developers etc. have left their presence in the region. People investing in such apartments are doing so in accordance to the future needs. A 2BHK available in south Bangalore comprises of two bathrooms, a living room, two bedrooms, a kitchen, a utility area, separate room and toilet for the servant and two balconies.
An average 2BHK, measuring 1200-1500 sq ft would value somewhere between Rs 35-Rs 50 lakh in such localities.

Such segment of buyers, usually in their mid 60s, are ready to wait for their dream homes before moving in. Areas adjacent to protected forests near the NICE corridor on Bangalore Mysore road and areas off-Bannerghatta road that offers easy access to numerous multi-specialty hospitals, have been the main targets by such segment of buyers.

South Bangalore is again in the limelight, as it brings a host of affordable homes for senior citizens and retirees. Excellent connectivity, enclosed forest area and spiritual centres are some of the elements that make south Bangalore appealing to such buyers. For those in search of a green belt, broad road and uncongested locations within budget, localities in Bangalore south (such as Banashankari 6th stage) are the perfect take away.

Upcoming construction in Yelenahalli, Banashankari 6th stage, areas adjacent to Art of Living Ashram and Pyramid Valley pander to this segment of buyers.

A number of senior citizens have opted to settle down in Jayanagar, Banashankari, JP Nagar, Basavanagudi etc. This segment of property buyers intends to have a close contact with spiritual centres, nature and multi-specialty hospitals (for emergencies) and south Bangalore seems to cater all such needs.
